Moving the trailer onto our site.
There were times I wondered if this would ever happen. Finally on May 12th our trailer arrived from Cupar and Alvin, Dale and our campsite owner, Neil, got it set into place. It looks great and thanks to Leon and Elaine for their help as Dale tried to get it leveled. Leon had to go back home for some supplies and took a bit longer than Elaine thought he should. They were supposed to go to Regina for Nathan and Hailey's engagement party, so didn't have a long time to hang around.
But, they finally got to where they thought it should be. Unfortunately, the slide didn't go out all the way and there was some concern we had been duped. Anyway, Dale thinks he can make it work to pull it out. Won't need to bring it back in until we wrap up in the fall.
The front of the trailer. Dale is talking to Neil about where it is sitting and getting it level.
Elaine and Dale checking out the underside of the trailer. Leon wasn't there yet.
The dreaded slide out. It is only about 3 or 4 inches from being all the way out.
We did as much as we could before heading back to the city. Jason had asked us and Jennifer's family to come for bbq for Mother's Day. We had a great time and a good bbq of steak wrapped in bacon. Jason said I could pick a game to play and we played Phase 10. I love it when Jason prays for our Mother's Day meal (he did it last year, too). He thanks God for me and then for his sisters and his wife. It is always a touching prayer and I feel like crying with joy!
Since Sunday was Mother's Day, Dale said we should go back out to the trailer and he'd bbq for me and we could decide where things would go. We took cleaning supplies out to clean up the trailer and also, took out the things we had already acquired for the kitchen, etc. As I was washing the countertop, I noticed what looked like dried blood. I just thought the previous owners had dropped a bit of blood on and I was smearing it. However, I found out, I had cut my pinkie finger. I didn't have any bandaids in my purse as I usually do, so Dale said we'd fix it up like he does when he's working. I wrapped it in kleenix and Dale taped it up with electrician tape. It looks worse than it was. Just a very long "paper-cut" type cut. Not sure how it happened.
The yummy feast mostly made by my wonderful hubby. The sweet potato and green beans were foil wrapped and put on the grill, so they had that bbq flavor! What a great end to Mother's Day!
This is the view of our trailer from the road outside the campground. So, if you come visit you can see where it is.
We drove to Lumsden Beach and Dale went down the steps to see what it was like.
It's a nice beach and maybe we'll try it out once we're out.
